Primary schools in Malta

Alison77UK

Hi Everyone,

My partner is in the final stages of a few job interviews in Malta and if he’s successful we will be moving over probably early next year with our two young daughters (nearly 4 and 1.5).

I’m excited but also extremely nervous at this prospect! I’ve started looking at schools and from my research so far it seems that most children from the UK join private education and that most state schools will lead in Maltese?  Of course my daughter doesn’t speak any Maltese right now so the school fees would need to be a serious consideration for us.

I had within the last year left my senior role as the head of Customer experience and Growth to pursue my self employed beauty passion.  I am now not sure if this would be an option to carry on in Malta or if I’d really need to look to get back into employed work.

So much to think about! Any help at all from any families who have already made the move would be greatly appreciated.  As much as I don’t like the UK climate we do have a nice life here and lots of supportive family around us so it is a very big decision :)

Moving early next year will be significantly harder than it is before end of year, suggest you try to hurry it along.

Apart from that the archives here are full of information just search for it.  It much change here so anything within last 2 years would still be relevant.
