Getting someone from the Philippines to work here

GuestPoster9468

Hi all

I know it's not easy to get a non-EU citizen to come here to work with a work visa, but is it possible if I wanted a housekeeper, say, and I was their employer? Is that viable?

TIA

Hi, good day.

I know it's out of topic. But if ever you want to hire a house helper please consider me as an applicant. I am a Filipino but working here in Hong Kong as a household helper.
I am interested in working there.

Thank you .

Why not employ a local person if you want a housekeeper or cleaner?

First of all Iwould like to say that I hear the Asian housekeepers do not have a good reputation.... At least 10 people I know have had rather sad experiences... Secondly , I advise also to try'to find a Maltese lady.

I am also looking for a weekly cleaner for 2/3 hrs if anyone knows someone reliable for St Julians's I'm interested!

My purpose was to get a female friend over here from the Philippines because getting a visitors visa is difficult for them. A work visa would be easier.

10 people who have all employed a Filipino! That's almost unbelievable.

I don't know of their housekeeping skills here, but in the Philippines I found them to be excellent. In my own experiences having lived in various countries, including Kenya, I found them to be probably the best nurses in the world.

Fair enough.  I believe that you will have to go to one of the gov't offices to arrange her coming over and see about contracts.  They seem to have got a bit more difficult on this issue.
You also have to give holidays and (I believe), pay for the air tickets... all this you will find out at the appropriate offices.
I can't give you more info. on that.
GOod luck!
