Reporting income in Hungary.

petewsh61

When either reporting income or looking at salaries are they typically listed as yearly or monthly in Hungary?

It's typically monthly, pre-tax.
On top of this you might get a little travel reimbursement and "foodstamps" tax-free.

And hi, long time no see :-)

Thanks!  I will be in Hungary this summer again.  I hope to see you and you family again.

Here is another question.  When a Hungarian woman or man says they are a "korrekt" person, what do they mean?

I will send you my new email address via your inbox.

Trustworthy seems a good fit for the Hungarian 'korrekt'. But it also is (or rather used to be) a slang word in a more general sense meaning 'good' or 'cool'.

Agreed, I think it came about as the opposite of "inkorrekt", which is used in the sense of lying, cheating scum :-)

If taken as one step back from "lovagias" (chivalrous, "worthy of knighthood"), then "gentleman-like" maybe?

Thank you for the Hungarian tutoring.
