Me and my wife loved Eastern Europe from the start (we took 2 holidays per year from the start, one to Eastern Europe (Poland, Slovakia, Serbia, Romania, but also Hungary) We had good times and we decided to settle in Hungary (close to Heviz). Also to Sri Lanka, Egypt, Morocco, Tunesia, UAE, ... (|Great when to be young)

For Hungary (Heviz)

Reasons: quiet, Heviz lake (almost for free for residents), huge garden (for my wife), ANIMALS (big plus), shopping is easy (with a car though), gardener, home delivery, not too many good restaurants though but some.

For my wife a Russian Orthodox church was a plus,

Good neighbours are also important.

Why did we leave for Turkey

-Good profit (from Hungary)

-Restaurants

-Everything is close (important considering my health)

-Smoking is very cheap and drinking the same level as in Hungary

-Other items are very cheap

-Beach is close (for my wife 240 m)

I am glad that you guys are enjoying Hungary. we live on the other end of lake Balaton,聽 Balatonalmadi. but just had enough of living here. we were checking out Keszthely for a while, but decided that what we hate around here is the same there too, so why bather?

@Livia Kretsch Depends what you expect from life, I do of course not know about your health, but if you can drive and you are in a good health a village is good.

What I like about Keszthely, the center with Theater (with loads of performances) is nice, they have a chess club, but for the rest a bit boring city (or big village).

Question is what do you want from life, my wife likes swimming and go sto interesting places. For me I just need good internet, chess, from time to time good performances (and in Keszthely they can be really good), I also like good restaurants, but limited I am afraid.
