Definitely learn German before embarking on an Ausbuildung.

I did my Ausbuildung as Dental Technician here over 30 years ago with limited German knowledge and it was tough! By the time I finished my German was much much better.  The more you can understand the better.

Good luck

German language knowledge at level B2 or higher is required to enter vocational school (Berufsschule), which is one of the components of an apprenticeship (Ausbildung). It is also needed to understand instruction in German.

Jobs as caregiver (Pflege) are plentiful and there is a high demand for workers, but it is not particularly well paid.

@beppi thank you for your reply. I have completed B1 from Nepal and today I had an interview with a nursing home in Germany. If I get a contract from them and get a chance to go to Germany, I am planning to take a B2 exam there.

@sarahjane99 thank you for sharing your experience. I have completed B1 and now trying to do an Ausbildung at this level. I intend to continue learning and take a B2 exam there in Germany.

@tsrijana10 I would suggest, in the meantime, looking on YouTube for German B2.  There is so much free information out there to keep you going until you get here.  Try reading a book in German, you will pick up lots of new words and learn the sentence structure too.  I found that really helpful.  I also listened to News in Slowly spoken news reports on DW (Deutsche Welle) this website also has lots of interactive listening/reading exercises.
