Dober dan :)

So, a few things.

Firstly, you won't find any jobs without speaking French. Maybe for picking you need to know some words to be able to communicate with the employers, because 90% of pickers come from East Europe and North Africa.

You must to know it is a very hard job, very physically, by all weathers and you will not have time to surf because picking is a 6 days work for about 8-10h per day, because pickers are almost always understaffed.

Also, picking are far from the sea. Several tens kilometers and as I said, you have not really time for leisure. You live on place for all the time of your contract.

Moreover, picking close to the sea is mainly wine and its picking is in September. Other picking are more in landscapes.

At 18, with only a higher education and without experience, you can find jobs as waitress or seller, but you need to speak French.

Hope I helped you...

Hello Everyone, My name is Sonea. I have recently moved from England to France, where i am residing in pleasant Nancy. With the pandemic and the year it has certainly been, i have somehow, been trying to find the 'home in my heart'. I had joined the site out of curiosity , to see if there were likeminded people in a similar situation, as life would have it at present, with such social distancing.

My dreams of moving are in complete shreds at the moment. I am all packed and ready to come over on the 27th...after that date I am homeless :-( I work from home and have groceries delivered so have no contact with anyone and feel like the uk have completely lost it . Feeling broken and stressed 🤦ðŸ»â€â™€ï¸

Hi there!

I'm French and I work as an English teacher in the Basque country. I'm on here as I would love to meet English speaking people, more particularly Irish people as I love this country and have a few friends over there. Feel free to contact me so we can meet up over a cup of coffee, or even exchange messages. Of course I'd be glad help with you French conversational skills.
