New members of the England forum, introduce yourselves here - 2023
Hello Everyone!
My name is Lynne. I current live in the UK, but was born and raised in South Africa.
I first came to the UK in 2005 where I spent 5 years mostly around Manchester. I then returned to South Africa in 2010, and am now back in the UK for good since 2018. This time residing in Lincolnshire.
I work as an independent Travel Agent, serving a lot of expats with mostly flight only bookings back to their homelands to visit friends and family. Although I also do a lot of package holidays, again mostly focused at expats in the UK. I do a lot of my business through Facebook groups, but it's nice to find communities away from Facebook. So I am glad I found this one.
I am a veteran at this whole expat malarky so if you need any help or advice, please just feel free to reach out.Â
@LynneBIFM great to have you here, Hope you going to help me cause i’m new in UK- Nottingham

@LynneBIFM Hi, I'm Elena! I've been living in the Uk for 15 years, but originally from Spain. I live in Hemel Hempstead, (Hertfordshire) and since diversity is lacking sometimes in classes I'm thinking about creating an ideally local or, virtual yoga group of expats to practice. I'm a yoga teacher and I'd be very happy to create beginners classes free once a month. Community and diversity is the goal. Â
I'd love hearing from you

@Kwadwo Boahen Moses Hello and welcome !
Please bear in mind that none of us are employers on the forum and can not help you with sponsorship.
You need to create your CV in the Job offers in England section of the website or other specialised websites, like the ones listed in each article of the Work in England section to search for opportunities.
Best of luck,
Bhavna

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
You need to be careful; UK visas are work-specific and you have to notify the Home Office if you change jobs. Healthcare worker visas are 5 years long, while Creative Worker visas are only for 12 months and you need to have a guaranteed contract to switch.
I hope this helps.

Hello Everyone. I'm Tom, born and live in the UK. I went to Australia for a year on a backpackers visa some time ago and did consider moving there after that but it never came to be, perfectly happy with it in the UK now anyway. I have a matter I'm going to ask a question on once I have found the right forum. Happy to be here!
I have recently joined your group to both get to know the forum and to gather the necessary information for living in the United Kingdom.
