Hi does anyone own a Lada Nivia?

Sueinvarna

I’m trying to find out how much pressure to put in the tyres, they are all weather tyres, I don’t know if that makes any difference. In the manual it says 1.99, but when I checked them they were around 2.6 everytime I ask at the garages they tell me a different  pressure.  Last time the man put in 3, also when I had a repair done and I checked he’d put in 3.  I am worried especially in the winter whether this is correct?  I would be grateful for any help  .

If the tyre size is 235/75/15 then follow the instructions of original manual.
Compact off road friendly vehicles like Lada Niva , Nissan Terrano2 etc are often misunderstood by mechanical newbies for so called SUV that is why they do so. I had this problem those few times I went to garages to change wheels.

Thanks for the reply, how do I check the size of the tyres? My husband always did everything to do with the car and I’m completely lost now, only that he must have been putting more than the brochure says because when I first checked them they were around 2.6.

Maybe he had done it right, since Lada Niva is little bit special kind of a cult vehicle that you can have different kind of tire sizes than the original size or the size I mentioned, tire pressure in the manual works for those both sizes but not way more than that, then you destroy the tire. You can check what size you have on it on the side of the tire, very hard not to see it :)
