Work Permit

darshanawaghmare

Hi,

I am in Belgium and have registered for my resident card with my commune. It is under process. I am looking for a job here now.
I came here on a dependant visa.

I have a question whether my employer will need my resident card in order to process my independant work permit?

I would like to know this as my resident card has not come yet.

It will be very helpful if you can let me know on the above.
Thanks
Darshana

Yes, as you are already in Belgium when your work permit application is lodged,  your residence permit is a required document.

Hi,
I have just read in the thread that you can apply for fast track resident card.

My police verification is done and commune has informed me that it will be sometime before I get my resident card.

I need resident card as early as possible.
Can I apply for a fast track resident card now?

Thanks
Darshana

Normally you should mention at the time of applying for the RP that you need fast track procedure. Now, please go and speak to your commune and see if your application can be fast tracked. That is the best way !

Fast track is only available after your commune gets the feedback from Brussels regarding your residence application.

In some special situation, you can ask a staff at the commune to call Brussels putting priority on your application.
