Hello Everyone,

I am a NON-EU citizen, 32 years old and I recently got a job offer from a major company in Belgium (Brussels to be specific).

My dream has always been Europe (The culture, the people...etc)

I am afraid to take this step due to financial reasons (Tax level is relatively high - 50%), Rent is a bit expensive (Around 1000 Euros)

What do you think is a good amount to be able to live a decent life (after deducting Rent and Food from the NET salary)?

One more question: I need to apply for a work visa (Work permit provided by the employer). the question is: Should I stick to this employer? or would I be able to change jobs in Belgium?

Anything above 2500 Euros per month after tax deduction can be called as decent salary and rest depends on your lifestyle as people can easily manage and save in 2K per month and struggle in managing expenses even getting 5K per month after tax deduction.

Your work Visa would be associated with your employer and you cannot switch based on that visa. If you manage to get a job here in Belgium, your new employer has to provide new work visa like your old employer did for you.
