Hi from a young Belgian (Bonjour tout le monde)

Moon_BE

Hello,

I'm Belgian living of course in Belgium and if you need some information about my little but rich country, I'll be glad to help. Feel free to ask. I know it's not easy (even fair) coming from abroad to some place where you know nothing...
I speak French, Dutch, some English(I try lol) and some Spanish.

FYI, I work as HR Legal expert for 10 years. I'm a little bit aware of the labour legislation in BE ;)

Cu then,
Moon

At the moment I am doing a course Inburgering (for foreigners)

I would like to get extra help learning your language...Preferable one on one lessons, learning to speak flemish...

As I know within myself I will struggle with this..:(

Thank you for your time....Have a great day/night:)

Very nice offer there,
I'm sure many will take you up on it.

Oh, welcome to the site by the way:D

Hi Scallywag,

first of all welcome to you in BE :)
Flemish is not east to learn for a foreigner, even for us Belgian French-speaking. The only rule for learning a language is speaking again, again and again ;)

About courses, you have different options : school with one to one teacher of course or private lessons. I'll try to give some links where you can get extra info, specially for foreigners.
Here already is some links but I'll have a look for something to far from where you live now :
(very efficient but in Brussels)

(I know this link is long but at the end of the page, you have email addresses where you can send your questions and asking for advices)

Let me know if the links work and if it's enough for you.
Have a nice day :)

Hello Scallywag,

I'm a Flemish expat, living in London at the moment. I can help with your Dutch conversation if you have Skype. Just send me a message if you are interested, ok?

Good luck in Belgium!

Hey Globetrotter,

als je meer info hebt om NL voor buitenlanders te leren, aarzel niet om te delen. Ik ken de voornaamste instellingen (VDAB, RVA,...) die kunnen helpen maar voor talen niks speciaals voor expat :)

Thx,
Moon

Scallywag,

I think Globetrotter has a great opportuniy for you ;)
Just do it :) at least for beginning

Greetings,
Moon

Hi Moon,

I've no idea where expats can learn Flemish/French in Belgium. I haven't been in Belgium much since 2004. I still speak my mother tongue perfectly, that's why I offered. I know from experience how difficult it is to integrate if you don't speak the language. Just lending a service from one expat to another, that's all.

Au revoir et merci beaucoup
