A card with unlimited work rights

lafeti6379

Hello All,

I got approval for my unlimited work permit.

I am still on A card but now with unlimited work permit (not bound to my employer).

What kind of work I can do now.

I am in software industry but I am not interested in the software job any more.

I am planning to leave my current company and looking for something more field work (Blue collar job)

Is it possible I can do field work with this card now.

Work I am interested in ( Delivery person(Deliveroo, uber eats), packers and movers, hospitality industry, taxi driver)

I am also concerned if my next renewal of A card will have any issue if i change to blue collar job.

Thanks

You can work any job … the problem with Renewal possible cause you may have no unlimited contract with this kind of jobs .. this is what I can imagine

@ievgenfeldmann

Thank you for the view.

But isn't the requirement for renewal that we need to submit last 3 month salary slip and not any work contract?

If you are holding an unlimited work permit then you can work whatever domain you would like to work.

Renewal for your A card  :

  1. If you are emloyee you will apply to municipality 3 months in advance with your current empolyement contract and last 3 months payslips.

  1. If you are self employed  tax declerations-tax statements etc.

Municipality send your documents to IBZ , they decides to give (or not)  you residence permit , and your new A card with new validity issued.

Good luck

Thank you for the detailed information.

I am looking more specific what happens to renewal.

Is there any guidelines what criteria does  IBZ looks into?

I don't want to  loose the residency as this is going to be significant step I am planning to take.

It has to be a salaried position as stated on the unlimited work permit itself. The 3 months payslips are to show that you do indeed have a stable monthly salary

I don't know the exact criteria used by the authorities.

However, based on my own experience, similar cases discussed in this forum, and different situations I have encountered in various workplaces over the past 5.5 years in Belgium, nothing contradicts what I stated in my comments.

  1. Valid work contract
  2. Payslips
  3. Health insurance
  4. Clean criminal record
