Hi all,

We invite all the ones who got married in Guadeloupe or who are about to get married in Guadeloupe to participate in this thread

What are the formalities to get married in Guadeloupe? Is it the same for a couple of foreigners of for a mixed couple (between a foreigner and a native of Guadeloupe)?

Are the procedures complicated?

How long does it take to carry out all the formalities?

Salut ! mariage for non european couples is covered under Article 58 loi 2009.Couples should do some research and follow all the paper work needed beforehand as not to be disapointed if they have a date planned.Religious ceremonies in Guadeloupe and St.Barthsare avaiable at the Episcopal(St.Barths)and the Old Roman Catholic rite church in Petit Canal (Guda).
