Can I bring my own electrician from canada to wire and all eclectic work done ?

The wiring in our house is plane stupid.  Breaker boxes outside not water proof.  Wire sizes too small.  No wire nuts, just tape.  No conduit fittings, just put conduit in box unsecured.  No main breaker. Outside conduits laying on ground.  PVC conduit is schedule 10 very thin. Etc etc.  This is normal.

I have seen so many just downright dangerous electrical issues.  Last week we almost had a fire in the house caused by bad wiring.  Took electricians two days to properly resolve. And of course that caused other issues.

The older the home the worse the issues!

You can bring anyone you want to do any thing you want , there nobody holding a license

here , just b aware that the electric in the DR is totally different from North America , there is no Black and

White ( wire ) to make it light… be prepared to change most if not all …. First thing I did was take all the

devices out  , took a look at the boxes, wire , all breakers , and went from there,  I found a lot of the boxes were dete. Deteriorate and the wire was shot…. Good luck

Also recommend all your wiring that says/states American made/grade from a reputable Hardware store.

If it's Cooper wire and you have outside secure it.
