Hello All

GetOutOfDodge

My name is Ed McDaniel, age 72 and presently live in Huntsville Alabama.  I came out of retirement to open a BBQ  restaurant, named Harvest Time BBQ, (Q) in Harvest, AL in hopes that our oldest son can retire from BP Chemical, take it over and I can retire again.  He has worked there for about 28 years and they have been trying to get him to take a foreman position for about 25 years.   Well, he finally took the position about 3 years ago and they are about to work him to death.  He can retire now but can't make a living from retirement income so we thought if we could get the Q profitable enough he could retire and make a living from it.  His passion is cooking anything BBQ.

I married my high school sweetheart in December 1959 and yes, that means we have been married 55 years this December.  She has fallen out of love with me even tho I will always love her.  BTW, she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen!

When I can retire again (hopeful this coming summer), I plan on retiring to Panama or Belize and no, my wife will not accompany me, but I will move anyway.

Well, so much for me, I really look forward to the adventure and making new fiends.  I'm looking forward also to the learning curve that, I know, will be necessary.

I welcome any and all advice and/or suggestions!    :)
