How do you get "local" price

Not every one is cheap skates, some people are willingly to offer a little more to help vn economy. Here you talking about 50 dollars, 75 dollars.Â
Mr. Bill Gates gave donation of 500 Millioms dollars. Please learn from him, when you know how to give, then God will add it on to you.
Absolute classic!
'Cheap skate' aka cheap charlie.
The perfect words to make a 'rich?' foreigner feel guilty and make them hand over more money.
More to help the VN economy? Really?
Where do you think the foreigner living in VN shops, lives, goes to restaurants/bars?
It's Vietnam businesses in Vietnam.
So every single Dong a foreigner spends in Vietnam goes into the Vietnamese economy.
Bill Gates and his 79.2 Billion dollars is no comparison.
I have digressed from the topic.
If IÂ don't have a VN friend or my partner with me and the price is an obvious rip off,I walk away.
And if the next shop is the same,I walk away.
It may take me a bit of time, but eventually I will find an honest store owner, with a fair price and for that I support his business.
Why should I pay exorbitant prices simply because I'm not Vietnamese AND why should I support local businesses that follow this form of ignorance?

Agree Jim Bream, never quite got my head around why we should have to pay more.In our home countries we would be called racists if it was the other way round. Too many brown nose expats in Viet Nam who try and show they have blended into the Vn way of life by saying its acceptable, sorry I just cant agree.
I was explaining to some locals here that in my country Australia, and many other western countries ,EVERYONE pays the same price regardless of where you come from or what you do for a living.
I used the same motor mechanic for 15 years, found a good one and stuck with him. But he will still charge me the same hourly rate as a total stranger and that's just how business is done.
He built a successful business mainly through his good service and customers referring friends and family.  He doesn't run advertisements in papers and on radio either.Â
My local VN friends just can't understand why that is.  They think the new guy in town is fair game to be shafted.Â
They say cheats never prosper , and looking around I can see that's the case with a lot of these dudes.
I know some Vietnamese are rich because vn has a lot of shimp, coffee, rubber, many kind of friuts, rice, those draw many people come to do business. Smart Vietnames build up this country 40 years from nothing after the war. I admired of their hard working and brave.
All price were much lower before for local people because of their income. Landlords have to offer lower rent because of their low income. But outcomer comes wanted to take advantage of their lower rent with their high income. Not only that, comes with critical spirit, greedy spirit, selfish, self righteous, lack of respect, lack of mercy.
Every thing God has recorded of what people do and say. God is very busy and will come to judge those ungodly. Judging is God s business not ours.
If Japan knew of what happened to Japan after 70 years then they would t invaded China, if tried to avoid 911 then American must be sinless. God did not bring it but God can allow of what had happened. People reap of what they sow.

HIndsight is a marvelous thing, maybe if all the do gooders hadn't fed all those starving Africans for 30 + years, there might have been a few million less of them trying to invade Europe at the moment.
When I read Beautiful's post, I didn't think he/she is an expat! I even felt scared because he/she talked about God so much, hic hic!
Back to the topic, because of many foreigners accept high price, then locals just want to sell stuffs for foreigners, don't need to sell for locals, hehe.
They love foreigners the most, more than locals
And even a woman said to me: I believe in foreigners than locals, even at that time, that foreigner lied to many people, but she didn't believe in me, just believe in him, just because he is foreigner, he is from where her boyfriend is.
Please don't accept the high price, its not good for you, but also not good for many locals too. Like whenever the price of gasoline increases, many stuffs price will be increased, but when it's down, nothing is cheaper, hic!

Totally agree.But not trying, succeeding.
You know,it's funny how this 'beautiful7887' member fails to mention the national struggle of the common folk after reunification. Not to mention the 1 crop a year policy and the communal sharing of profits. And open business with international markets only came into play after a US pres.came in 2006 and gave them accession.
In the late 70's and early 80's there were rationing and restrictions.
It took a long time for the gov. to work out something that was half fair for all and not solely just for some.
The whole south suffered for a very long time. I know this from a conversation with a former adult student.
Landlords at that time were mostly gov. members or paying off said members.
And take advantage of lower rent with higher salary is such a joke.
How can it be a lower rent if a foreigner always pays at least 25% more than a Vietnamese??
And as for higher salary?
I have never received a pay rise here, and a lot of expats work more than one job to make ends meet.
'People reap what they sow' .Exactly.
You want to charge me 100'00 D for a 30'000 D product, then you go home without my money.
Ok,enough of that all over the place post. Now this.

Sure is Yogi old son.
I especially like the kind of 'X-75 ' style pipes off the side.
And that it's a solo hardtail frame.

Looks like she might be loud, and a handful on the tight RH corners, ( the bottom pipe looks 1/2 worn through ), maybe a front brake might help slow it down?
I had a Trumpy like that once, at speed, it used to put on a little fireworks show on LH bends.

Yanks call them " sissy " bars, ( as in sister, not poofy wanker??? ). back on subject, if you would like a bigger sissy/bitch bar/pack rack for your bike, you can have one made easily here, but make sure you pay the " local price ".
