Hello, is there a local on here who can help out with finding an apartment in HCMC so I won't be ripped off? Any help would be appreciated. I'm looking for a 1 bedroom (not studio) apartment with laundry service or washing machine. A balcony is preferred and would like a swimming pool nearby if possible. My budget is 550. I work in Hung Vuong Plaza District 5 so anywhere near there or district 1 or 7. I do not mind a commute to work that is 40 minutes or less. Thanks!

District 7 you can probably find a nice apartment with that budget and western amenities. I just arrived TODAY haha and I'm going to be looking at D7 the next 2 days. Then i'll probably look at D1 even though i know its more expensive and probably won't meet up to my Los Angeles standard.

If so, is an apartment for rent at Hung Vuong plaza, fully furnished, 2 bedrooms with price of 8.5 million VND/month.

There are a lot of Vietnamese sites where you can find cheap apartments/ houses. If you go on google and look for an English website for sure you will be charged no less than 500-600 usd.
Also, renting an apartment/ house requires some procedures. You will need someone to help you contact with the owners to go and check the place out. If you use an English website, agents will do the rest.

Hi! My friend is owner of a very nice service apartment at Nguyen Dinh Chieu St. which is opposite to Coopmart Nguyen Dinh Chieu. The price is varied from the studios and stay duration.. Each studio has living room, kitchen, bedroom.

I'm not real estate agent but I can help introduce you to him if you need.
