Dentist Recommendations?

UKGuyInSaigon

Hi All,

I need a dentist in HCM - hate going to dentists full stop, but unfortunately the need has arisen, so I am hoping my fellow ex-pats can advise me of a good, English speaking, professional person to go and see who will be sensitive to my general dislike of the entire prodding, poking and drilling process!

Cheers

Paul

I went to WestCoast Dental at 27 Nguyen Trung Truc, in between Ly Tu Trong and Le Thanh Ton, just a little bit north of Cho Ben Thanh.

I had a checkup, x-rays, cleaning, and cavities filled for a fraction of the cost of what it would have been in the US. Great office set up, very professional, prompt appointment keeping (when they say 2pm, that means they actually start working on you at 2pm). The dentist I had was trained in HCMC, but spoke great English and was very gentle and knowledgable... must have been at the top of her class.

The office itself is run by Canadians, so standards are very high. I'm planning on going there from now on.

I go here also. They also have an office on Dong Khoi street in district 1.

When ask some help, better tell us your residence, so members can guide you easily to find out a service near you. HCMC is not too small area. :)

I disagree... in this instance, it's worth driving long distances for a good dentist.

Also just my opinion... HCMC actually isn't that big area-wise. But I'm used to the urban sprawl that is Los Angeles.

Totally agree, and I'm from a small town in North Carolina. I'm always amused by some Vietnamese who complain about having to go a distance equivalent to that of district 1 to district 7, and say, "It's so far..."

Its not complaining, but to save time.. or even a life!
people are busy nowadays, so better consult with a nearest good doctor.
How many of you sharply consult with an expert and costly doctor?
Majority needs a good and affordable doctor with a fair experience.
With regard to us, I am an Indian and my wife is a Vietnamese, the latter choice is best.:) "Dust thou art to dust returnest"!
