I just loaded it OK on a  TP HCM feed and a TP Da Nang feed over VNPT.

Perhaps it is that crappy little ISP you have in PMH? The only area with no fibre optic feeds.

u can change dsn setting to 8.8.8.8  alt 4.2.2.2

Just change the Ip code and then it's ok

My home network is set up to use Google's Public DNS via VNPT, and I often find facebook doesn't work in the mornings, but does after lunch. If I need to (ie, almost never), I just use facebook on the phone, as Viettel usually seems to have no problems finding it.

Having said that, this morning was one of those rare mornings when VNPT gave me facebook, and Viettel had problems. Go figure!

Paste everything between (and including) #Valid 22/06/10 through #END COPY (everything in red)into your HOSTs file.

This will "map" or "instruct" the computer to reach FB every which way used to reach the myriad parts of the FB wasteland.

Remember, make a copy of host and rename with a .ORG suffix. If you screw up, simply copy the HOST.ORG and rename.

And use a basic editor, one that can't format text.

Lengthy HOST files are common when you use computers for very specific purposes. I have a similar "document" that blocks FB - impossible to beat.

The above is used in China to leap the Great Firewall.

How it works (simple version)
When you enter the URL "www.FaceBook.com" in to a browser it shoots off to a special computer which converts your "www.FaceBook.com" into addresses of four groups of three digits (leading 0's can be omitted) which are actually used to locate FB.

The mapping above saves this task AND bypasses the most common ways of blocking access which simply use "www.FaceBook.com".

Neither I, nor this web site, take responsibility for any mistakes you make. Losing a HOST file is not the end of the world, they are easily regenerated using the no frills editor (Notepad in Windows).

The other method suggested above, in other posts here, is really an unsophisticated method which can still be blocked as the old "www.FaceBook.com" is used.

I was in three different apartments in the last 18 months and had also three internet providers.
FB runned on two but refused to run on one. It seems to be provider specific (and maybe to different districts). As I dont use FB that much and had a VPN I never checked further.

If FB doesnt run, a VPN is the solution.
