He's coming to teach English without a clue how to do so? I'm guessing he's not a teacher in Australia then?

Ok IF he has a degree get it notarised in Australia, bring it and the notarised copy.

He will need to do a course (Celta\Tefl etc.) either in Australia or here in Vietnam. A 4 week course, not a week online version.

If he has no degree or teaching certificates he may find work, but will be highly unlikely to get a working permit etc.

Now if he is currently a teacher but not Celta etc. then he may find work with suitable references, again he will need to bring them with him.
Oh and police checks etc. need to be doen in Australia bring them too.
There are a plethora of teaching sites on the web that can advise far more clearly than on here. Even a search on here will reveal all this as it's asked often enough.
