How to take my cat to Ho chi minh from Hanoi by domestic flight?

Jennynoah

Hi guys

I live in hanoi and  have a 15y old cat  right now, and I'm planning to move to Ho chi minh city at the end of October.  I brought my cat from Korea on 31 Dec last year.

when  I first arrived in Hanoi, I prepared all the documents related to her, but should I prepare
another document when i use a domestic flight?  what kind of documents should we prepare?

is any one who has a experience about that?

* I'll take a Vietnam airlines and use "pet on board" service. and this service describes the documents needed on its website, but only those required to when use international flights are specified.

If you love your cat, I suggest you take a train down to Saigon. I wouldn't trust the Vietnam Airlines or Noi Bai Airport ground crew with my precious pet. It might die of heatstroke sitting inside a box with all the other cargo in the middle of the hot sun while waiting to be loaded. If Vietnam Airlines allow you to take the cat on the plat in a small carrier or allow you to buy an extra seat for it, then fly with the cat. Otherwise, it's too risky to put it in cargo hold. Your cat might end up on some guy's dinner table before it gets to Saigon. In Vietnam, always expect the worse case scenario and make your decision based on these outcomes. I'm not trying to scare you but that's what you have to face living here.

I also think that buying an extra seat on the airplane is the way to go.

Train is also my 2nd choice, especially if you can get the "VIP" cabin.

I've only heard rumors about it, but apparently when going from Hanoi to HCMC or in the opposite direction, there is at least one vip cabin for two customers.

If you buy both berths you can travel the full route in private; just you and your puss.

Hi, Thanks for your reply

when I bring to her from Korea I  paid extra money for Pet on board Service which is I can seat with her
more clearly she was under my seat according to the Airlines regulations. Depending on the weight and health condition of the companion animal, it can be carried together on board.
that's why I also want to know using Pet on Board service for Domestic flight.  I don't even think about moving her by cargo. and Because she is a cat, she has toilet problems, so she can't travel all the time by train.

she had all the Korean government-issued documents ready and I just wanted to know if I needed more documents when I took her from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City, or if any of the foreigners had ever done anything like this, I wanted to hear about him.
I already lived in Hanoi for three years, so I know how Vietnamese people see their pets.
I've already asked the airline a few times if they could buy extra seats for her and the airline staff has different answers every time. So I wanted to hear the story of someone who's experienced it.

Thank you for your concern and interest.
have a good day! :)

you should go by train

If you have a carrier, you might be able to put the carrier by your feet. Vietnam Airline has decent leg room unlike Jetstar.
