Teaching at ILA

brianthelion

I've been accepted to ILA starting in October 2009 for the CELTA program.  Does anybody have experience with ILA?  The goods and bads.  I'd like to hear both sides.  Also I'm trying to figure out what a "normal" starting pay is and how it compares to the cost of living.  All replies are appreciated.

Hello

What do you mean accepted?
Are you going to train at ILA or teach?
I'm also interested to train there which give you a good opportunity if you want to teach afterwards.

I'm going to train there in October and plan to stay there working afterward.

Hello,

A teacher who trained there and has several friends who trained there advised me to train there so I guess it's a good place for a teaching training.

I think they also offer to find you a job because; they need teachers here.

As for the pay, as an expat, I do not think you'll have to worry.
After one month, you should be able to get a job and live well.

I am interested to know more about ILA Vietnam.  Now that you have been there a year, can you tell me if it is a good place to teach?

Is it a well managed program?  How are the students?
