I am from California, currently live in Chiang Mai. I leased  a brand new studio apartment fully furnished with A/C and wifi and good security in Ladprao Soi 1 for 5,000/month with a 6-month's lease so I can stay close to my wife's family when we visit Bangkok. The place is such a bargain, furniture and construction are of top notch quality.  Will find out more information for you if interested.
