Professional pet sitter

Julie Mayger

I am working in the UK as a pet sitter / dog walker, etc. I am 66 and now claim the UK State Pension. Widowed, no children. Fit. Self-employed.

Would I be able to come to Thailand and do pet sitting and dog walking? I really do not want to retire. I would go mad.

Thanks. I don't see pet sitting / dog walking on the list of exemptions. There are various websites, e.g. Trustedhousesitters where people, particularly expats, advertise for sitters to live in and look after their pets and property while they go away. Which is what I am currently doing in the UK. Not sure how  many Thais are pet sitters. I wouldn't encroach on anyone's territory. I will investigate further. Thanks again.

Not sure how you would get a work permit, which you need to work in Thailand.
