NON-O VISA start date and income verification letter for E-VISA

kentbordelon

I just want someone to help me verify that the actual start date of the 90 days you are allowed to stay in Thailand on a NON-O (marriage VISA in my case) starts when you enter Thailand and not the issue date of the VISA. I know they give you a date on the Approval Notice stating the last date before it expires and you have to enter Thailand before that date. Is this correct as this was the case when I went there on a Tourist VISA last year?

My second question is has anyone used an income verification letter issued from their retirement fund institution as proof of income when applying for a NON-O VISA using the E-VISA to apply and did you have any issues using the letter as proof of monthly income?  Thanks for all of your help!

For the second question better use a bank account statement showing sufficient savings rather than monthly/yearly income to avoid other complicate consequences.

Same story when extending stay permit at Thai local immigration after the first 3 month, better use the required funds amount in a Thai bank account rather than declearing an income, due to 181 days taxation rule.
