Getting A Non-Teaching Job In Seoul

maxutilperusd

Here's my situation. I'm an American-born Korean. I've lived in LA my whole life and can speak only broken Korean (though I think with a few years of experience living in Korea, my Korean would improve dramatically). I would like to move to Seoul if possible, but get a job that is not teaching English.

I currently make a six-figure income as a financial analyst in the US. How would I go about obtaining a similar role in Seoul? I understand that the potential salary would be lower in Seoul, but by how much?

I have little experience in this but have you tried applying to similar companies in Seoul?

Have you read up on what working in corporate South Korea is like?  You do realized that the white collar jobs in South Korea are very demanding with long hours and required company social time in order to be a team play and advance in the company.  (of course this is only what I've read, I'm sure that is not true for all of them but it is part of their culture.)
