Agency Fees for Helper

ncl09

Hello there -

Anybody has an idea how much the agency fees to get a helper are.  I been asked for approximately $980 SIN Dollars plus any relocation expense of the maid.

Is this what the market is going for?

Thanks

...it depends so call around a few agencies for quotes and  verify agency costs vs services provided eg., maids change within 2 weeks if unsuitable, experienced vs inexperienced helper etc

In Singapore, the fees for Domestic Helpers from Agencies varies.

Agency fees can range from $100 to $1000 depending on what is inclusive(eg: insurance, security bond, work permit processing etc in the package) excluding the loan that you need to pay for the maid/domestic helper, (eg:3000 to $4000 plus)

Example : I go to agency A to hire a Indonesian or Phillpines Domestic Helper.  The agency charged $288 for processing documentation (excluding insurance another $270, medical check $50, Helper's Sat and entry test which is a must for all domestic helpers $35 and some others) so may add up to $700 to a 1000. Normally we pay to the agency to tahe care of everything and save us the hassles of running here and there, paperwork, transportation etc.

Then you will have to pay the loan for the maid.
Eg: Salary is $450 x 9 months = $4050. So during these 9 months the maid will take around $20 to $50. the rest you keep.

So all together its $4050 + Agency fees.

By the way, You may have to wait for the maid at least 2 weeks to 6 weeks for her to arrive, some agencies may have ready ones which is quite rare.
