Your profile says you are Liberian. As such, you can visit Singapore without a pre-arranged visa for up to 30 days.

For everything else, especially work and live here, you need a visa.

Read this forum or other sources to learn what visa types there are and how to get them!

You need to have a valid work pass or permanent residence status to stay here legally. You can check the Ministry of Manpower website for more information on the different types of work passes and how to apply for them.

The cost of living in Singapore is quite high, especially for housing and transportation. You may want to look for a room or an apartment in the outskirts of the city, where the rent is cheaper. You can also use public transport or bike to get around, as owning a car is very expensive.

The culture and lifestyle in Singapore are very diverse and vibrant. You can find people from different races, religions and backgrounds living harmoniously together. You can also enjoy a variety of cuisines, festivals, attractions and activities in this city-state.  You can also learn some basic phrases in Mandarin, Malay or Tamil, which are the official languages of Singapore besides English. This will help you communicate better with the locals and appreciate their culture more.

I hope this gives you some insight into what it’s like to live in Singapore. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me.

Thank you @ justdavid for this beautiful picture of Singapore. As Singapore is one of the most expensive city in the world, you need to get a good job with a decent salary to be able to live here. It was mentioned getting a work pass etc....but you should be aware that it's very complicated to find a job here as a foreigner via the traditional way (applying to job offers online). You need to network, specially with other foreigners working in the same field as you, who have influence on hiring decision in the companies they work for, so once there is an apportunity, they can contact you. So right people, right opportunities at the right time, may really make a big difference. Use LinkedIn, forums to build your network. I think these aspects are very important to keep in mind when planning to move to and live in Singapore. Best luck.
