ATM fees

Canounggoy

Was trying to limit my Swabb ATM withdrawals cause sometimes those computers see something and shut off your stuff. Had to hit it hard last couple of weeks,so I looked it up.
(Unlimited ATM fee rebates apply to cash withdrawals using your Visa debit card wherever it is accepted.)
Looks like I can use it as much as I want hahahaha, with unlimited fee rebates.  Though I try to mix it up between Xoom, Swabb, and Remitly.
Just FYI for those with Swabb cards, cause I didn't know.

Hey, don't know those american cards, but have you heard of Revolut. British online card company. For people officially living in Europe and USA.
I see you're in the Philippines, but are you officially living here or in the USA? I mean, your official address. If in the USA you can use the Revolut card. Have been using it for like 2/3 months already and it's amazing.

You are charged only the Interbank's exchange rate when buying something, not the exchange rate banks put on top of it. You can withdraw up to 5000 dollars, or so, without having to pay anything (unless the locals banks charge you, which is the case in the Philippines). And a lot of other stuff. And the card is free.

Of course you have paying options which give you more advantages but I think the free one is pretty cool. You should check it out. :)

What's the catch.
I will check it out

Although ATM withdrawals cost us money, we give you £200 a month in international ATM withdrawals for free. Anything over £200 attracts a small 2% fee to help us cover our costs.
The catch after 200 Euro They charge 2,% guess it depends on the exchange rate they give you.

Yes. That's right.
That's not an issue for me as I only pay in cash when I must.
And let's be honest... what's 2% compared to the several % taxes banks charge you?
For instance, I pulled my calculator when I was in Portugal and among several taxes the total amount my bank would charge me for  total amount of, say, 100€ they would take about 10€ or a bit more. So, from this perspective 2% (2€ in this example) doesn't sound all that bad, right?

But yeah, then you have the paid packages which raise that value amount, of course.

In the end it's all about your individual needs. But I sure m happy with it. I don't know how banks in USA work the ones in Portugal steal the people ao much. Lol
