Good places to take kids in PH?

Eccles Bluebottle

Hi there, just wondering if anyone has first-hand experience of great places for kids to go to/see/experience in the Philippines? Happy to hear about places in Manila, or anywhere across the archipelago. Will be heading back in July for a trip.

I’ve an active 8-year-old. First trip to the Philippines for him. I’ve visited PH a few times.

Yes, I’ve looked at a few places online - but nothing beats first-hand knowledge!

Many thanks : )

Hi,

my son is 7.5 years old and hw loves to play on the front beach of Boracay.

If you like more indoor, go to Mall of Asia in Manila. On the top floor they have lots of kids attractions.

Better kids attractions are in Hong Kong and Singapore.

@Andy_1963 Thanks very much. Yep, my young-un’ gets plenty of beach time here in Taiwan - so definitely keen for the outdoors. But good to be open to all options. And best of luck getting your 7.5 year-old off the beach when it’s time to go home - I know the battle!

I think you need to consider what activities your kid/s enjoy at home. There is for example a good waterpark in CDO and CDO is also famous for adventure activities like white water rafting and canyoneering. There may of course be age restrictions on some of these activities.

Consider the activities your kid would enjoy  and search online for top things to do for kids in different parts of the Philippines. Play areas in the Malls maybe good for an hour or so but what kid likes to spend too much time shopping.

LOL, almost makes me wish I was a kid again, great info.

Is the MOA skating rink open again? Was closed for some years and not been there for a long time.

Cheers, Steve.

Resorts are wonderful in the Philippines, especially in the Visayas region. We went somewhere about once a month when our boys were younger - Moalboal, Bantayan Island, Panglao, Dauin - you get the picture. They are never very expensive ($40-50 per night) and a lot of fun - most having nearby beaches to explore, sea kayaks as well as swimming pools and various games. Sometimes you need to take a ferry, which just adds to the adventure.

I wonder what the All Inclusive Resorts are like in the Philippines. I would not stay in one but I have stayed in them before in Egypt and Tunisia when my daughter was younger. The ones I stayed in there had Kids Clubs with lots of different activities like mini golf, treasure hunts, mini discos  and water activities for the youngsters to enjoy.
