I understand you may be interested in the crime rate, and possibly wanting information regarding the chances of terrorist activity in that area.

The sad terrorist attack on the school there proves there is extremist activity in the region, but a few fools don't mean the place is generally unsafe.
This site suggests general crime is low.



This US site tells you it's extremely dangerous, but they have special reasons for concern that don't apply to most other people.



A local site is telling us of tensions between residents and displaced groups, along with violent, armed crime.



Overall, it sound like they're having some problems out there, but that's reports, and they aren't always accurate.
Let's hope local knowledge from people on the ground gets posted.

Good, you have decided to get married to some one who is from Peshawar. I am sure this decision was based on lots of factors like your compatibility and love and is very natural to worry about the security issue of an unknown land.

I do not think internet reports could offer you more than some comparity reports, the real test will be when you go and live there for some time.

Peshawar is safe or unsafe depending on who you are and how much influence and money you have to spend on security.
