Hi all,

Can a foreigner take the driving test in Pakistan?

What are the formalities to get a driver聮s licence in Pakistan?

Do you need special or extra documents being an expatriate?

How much does it cost?

yeah it costs around 5000 rs and any one can make it !

Hahahahah. If they just need a driving license they can get it by offering a few thousand bucks to the people outside the driving licence offices. Its sad but true. I think if u hold an international licence that can be used too till a certain time period.

If you're a legal resident of Pakistan, you can either use an international driver's license if you have one or apply for a Pakistani driving license at any of the driving license centers. They will issue you a learner's license first and then after a month or two (don't remember right now) you have to appear for a written and practical assessment. Upon successful completion you will be awarded the license. You can get more details about getting a license in Islamabad here:
