Been offered a Job. Have resigned. Problem is Release letter

prithivish5

Hi  All,
My Visa expires in Mar 2021.  I have been offered a job which I really want to take.
I have resigned at my current employment place.  My current employer is saying that they do not have any process or system whereby they grant a release letter with tentative employment termination date to the employee.

My Future employer is willing to wait and is saying that you may have to fly back to your home country.
Flying back to ones own country and get a one time entry Visa followed by the multiple entry employment pass was a good option prior to COVID 19 lockdown days

However my fear is that once I go back to my own country The Malaysia embassy/Consular office there will not grant any Visa owing to the COVID 19 pandemic.

If anyone has information about this please Advise me.
I am an Indian National employed in Malaysia.

Thank you.
Regards.

PS.

This is a complete nonsense that ur company is doing. A release letter is a simple letter which is also known as NOC. It states that they hv accepted ur resignation and ur last working day is bla bla and they hv no issues with that. It doesnt need any rocket science. I guess u must be working in some body shopping consultancy whose only income is the commission they get from ur hard work. All the MNCs of good brand value dont indulge in these cheap activities. I'd suggest that u just build pressure on them and get this damn letter somehow. Sadly going back to the country is not an option else u vl not be able to come back. All the best!

Isnt "Journey Performed" still a normal option in these cases? What did Immigration tell you?
