Mature Socialising !!

GuestPoster769

Having been in and out of Malaysia for the past 3/4 years and consequently now living here, I find the majority of 'Bloggers' looking to expand their Social Networks to be late 20's - early 30's. As I am a Brit of mid-50's and an Expat for 30 years, I need to find people of both sexes closer to my own age....are there any out there ???

I guess we belong to museum/
I,certainly find not socialising safer & less problematic.

I guess its due to the weather, I have been back about 3 times and have disliked UK mainly due to the constant cold and rain, but then again, ive been here for a good 25 years and am only 30 years old, maybe not enough years out in UK to really know the reason why many leave UK :)

I have the same issue, though mainly because those around my age group (30's) are less capable of holding deep meaningful conversations, I dont mean on a personal level, but rather on a mature intellectual level...

Is your trap set for 62 year olds . bodies age but we don't. A pity we can't change them. So at least we try to change the outlook, and here I am looking on the outside. I am a guitarist and I also play the digital piano .I drink and like to  soocialise. I am also looking for a music spot for light music performance. All I need is a solo singer and we have a show.

It seems there ARE people out there who either like the more mature age group or by default fall in to that category anyway....seems we could have the makings of a get together. That in itself draws other issues as we probably all live in different areas. Seeing what I have to-date, it would appear that WIP at BSC is a very popular place as is Changkat (BB). I think it would be nice to maybe get a couple if 'interests' and then agree to meet for a glass of wime (or two or beer !!!)

There are lots of things to do around the Kuala Lumpur area and if you join Internations you are able to see what they are arranging and also if individuals are suggesting outings, e.g. Grand Prix at Subang.  Even if you are not a big sports fan, if you can bear to follow Rugby there are a few places that attract more mature types. Sometimes the quieter places actually are better as conversations tend to start. We watched the Rugby World up at Finnegans on Changkat and will probably watch the England match on Saturday night there. There is riding for the disabled, which always welcomes assistance and has various events to help with too. Hope you find something to suit your tastes.
