Malaysia Income Tax

I was employed by a Malaysian company and held an Employment Pass (EP); however, I never resided in Malaysia as I was working remotely due to family circumstances. During my employment, I visited Malaysia only twice. 


My employer has been deducting taxes at a /!\ I AM A STUPID SPAMMER /!\0%, and my question is: Given that I held an EP but never lived in Malaysia, am I considered a resident or a non-resident for tax purposes?

Non residents so you pay non-resifebt rates. 30% flat rate from memory. You can't get it back.
