When I worked here in Laos on an Asian Development Bank road project, all our qualifications were submitted by our employer for vetting as part of the tender process.
No translations were necessary and no additional tests were needed.
I have a degree in communications which was swayed towards global and intercultural communications. Integral to the degree was writing and research. I've been teaching at an international school and have done a lot of writing for the Laos government and various companies. My qualifications were recognized as being valid, no translation was asked for.

hi cereal the international school that you taught at, what was the main subject? and doing writing for the government and companies, were they like advertising companies? i ask because i have a background in internet marketing / digital advertising
Cereal, may I ask, what is it like to teach in an International school in Laos? I assume you are in Vientiane. I have taught in Australia and various Asian countries, but not yet in Laos. Thinking of making the change.
