Some advise

Wendi & Drew

Hi all we are wanting to move to Bali and open some sort of a business a few diffrent ideas at the moment, and we have been told we will need to set up a P.T company in Bali...
And  we have been in contact with a company called immigrationindonesia.com/ they are Notaris & Legal Consultants as per their website?  and was wondering if anyone has had any dealings with them in Bali and if they are really a legal company as we know you have to be extra cautious  when doing any sort of dealings in Bali
We have been told that it will cost us about $5000 US up front to set up a company so we can leagally do business and live in Bali??
any advise would be greatly appreciated and names and contact details of trustworthy Notaris or Legal Consultants
Thanks

I do remember reading something about you guys trying to get a function together for a meet and greet is that still on the cards or has it already happened?

Hi,
I also try to run my own business in Indonesia. Java and Bali got same laws about business.
My girl friend is indonesian and I already met several french and Us owner in indo.
As they told me, main things to knnow is :
you are not allowed to run business if you are not native indo.
A solution can be brought if you get associated with native indo. Be carefull of your associate and make precise work association contract with notaris.
The other solution is to stay at least 3 years in Indo and then ask for kitas, it will become easier after kitas to get your own business."Easier" doesn't mean "always possible".
My advice is to be very carefull, sometimes people try to sell a place for business and they don't even own the place - so be carefull!!
Never give any money before you get all official documents.

cheers.

Hello,
i shall be in Bali (Ubud) in August. My HRM is australian, working in indo for 6 years now.
She helped me a lot to get my firm contract as she wanted me in her team.
She is very skill with Indonesian administration.
If you don't mind, I will ask her advice for your project.

Cheers.
