New requirements for offshore visitor visa (B211) applicant

GuestPoster171

The Ministry of Law and Human Rights has issued a Surat Edaran revising the visa application process. The key points are:
1. offshore applications for visit visas (B211) require proof of full vaccination,
2. Commitment to 8 day quarantine,
3. Evidence of USD10,000 in funds by the applicant or the guarantor (i.e. agent),
4. The proof of vaccination is not required for onshore renewals or applications.

too many ppl sneaking in here with this b211 visa for “cultural” reasons when they’re just backpackers or wannabe youtubers / influencers. this is most likely how the delta varian enter the country to begin with.

Agree, and most of these "Digital nomad", at least in Bali, they feel invincible and dont follow the government rules to contain the spread.
All those b211a visa holders neither hnow their sponsors, who are provided by the visa agancies, so should be considered illegal.

Actually it was discovered Garuda aircrew brought Delta to Indonesia.
Please don't go 'Bule bashing' or 'Witch-hunting' till you know the facts.
That causes prejudices which we don't need during times when unity is paramount.
The pandemic is the enemy not each other.

someone asked for sources.  here you go:

that’s just one of many sources showing an agency is providing a fake sponsor to enable foreigners to enter during the pandemic.  google “b212a visa indonesia” or “visa bali” and dozens of agencies offering g this service will pop up.
and for the record, i am a bule.  so i’m not “bule-bashing” - more like bashin ppl who skirt the rules and potentially exacerbate an already dire condition.  i’ve lived here for over 10 years and my business is being seriously impaired by these ongoing restrictions.  and until everyone gets vaccinated, rules need to be followed both by us expats as well as the locals.  with the boarders supposedly closed, i find it shocking that people are coming in on this B211a visa, ignoring self isolation rules and continuing on from jakarta to bali or lombok.  how do i know that’s what they’re doing?  because these dummies are documenting and posting their entire trip on youtube:  one day they’re in malta, the next in jakarta. 2 days later in bali and the 2-3 days after that, they’re in Lombok...   and it’s not just one or two sneaking in like this....

Bali Frog

Sorry mate, but you sound like a bit bitter and jalous !

Of course in your business you have never ever gone "around" the rules or used "grey areas" ?

Let people live their life ....

jealous of what?  i’m already a resident here.  lol.  and  if i do bend or break the occasional rule, it’s not anything that could potentially cause anyone else any problems or put them in harm’s way - and as far as covid safety goes, ive been going above  and beyond, got my 2 vaccines   a booster, and i still follow quarantine rules when i go between java/bali/lombok - because i want to ensure that i don’t carelessly spray the virus to someone else and cause an outbreak like java is experiencing right now.  look, people can do whatever the hell they want so long as it doesn’t put public health and safety at risk.
