Violent protests

Fred

As luck  has  it, nobody voted  for these violent fools. Imagine a government under them.

In he real  world, that lot will  dissappear as soon as a new thing  to moan about comes  up, so don't worry about general safety

There goes an interesting thought. A good number of people outside Indonesia want the president out of the picture, but his popularity rating here is all but total.

And what if he removes democracy like his late dictator father in law Suharto (who he admired) did?

Assuming your goal is to preserve democracy, you would either have to kill 80% of the Indonesian population, or remove democracy.

Both seem a little excessive.

Oh, and you might like to check your history teacher's degree. I believe it might have been free with a box of cornflakes. 🤣

Welcome back to a beautiful country Sita. Like the USA we sometimes have to endure leaders who do not necessarily have the interests of their homeland at heart..
