decaf coffee in Yogyakarta?

texmeister2

It seems that Starbucks has discontinued theirs. Anyone know of another place to get it, in Yogya or elsewhere? TIA.

I see Starbucks as the arse end of coffee shops so don't go.

I have been to hundreds of coffee places all over this amazing country, but I don't recall the last time I saw decaf.

I'm in my favourite local coffee shop as I type. If I asked for decaf they would either not understand, understand but assume I had gone crazy, or throw me out into the rain.

The point is, decaf isn't a big thing in Indonesia.

Maybe you could get wild and try proper coffee. My personal fav is Kalimantan coffees with Aceh a close second, but you will develop your own tastes.

And don’t you just love those sachets which ooze the dark brown local sugar. It’s almost a ritual that I enjoy when in Indonesia partaking in their delicious coffee☕ï¸

I don’t have an issue with Starbucks per se. Usually a nice jazz vibe playing. I think my favourite is the one near the entrance of Plaza Indonesia in Thamrin . Comfy armchairs and great for people watching 😃

My regular haunt has gula aren in a jar. You just add what you fancy.

I don't know about coffee shops that provide decaf coffee. But I know 1 place to drink coffee in Yogyakarta that is recommended. The name is "Kopi Jolotundo", the atmosphere of rice fields with beautiful flowers, looking at the mountains & feeling the sea breeze makes me feel calm there. The location is not far from the "Yogyakarta International Airport". I've only been there once, when in between times waiting for a flight schedule to return to Jakarta. But I really want to go back there, because the atmosphere is very calming. ðŸ˜

Not only the view, coffee & food are also delicious. ðŸ‘
