Hi,

I have just been offered a job at IBM-Shenzen. I am yet to discuss on the salary package. Having solid experience of 3.5 yrs, how much shall I expect. I am not aware of the market there. Thought of checking that out before I pen down my expected salary.

More over, I would like to know how costly and safe the life is in Shenzen. I will be staying on my own.

Are you being offered the janitor's job, Head of International Marketing or what?聽 ...as without knowing it is a completely meaningless question and impossible for us to answer.

An apartment will cost you between USD500-1000 per month depending on location and size.

Cost of living is OK but if you buy lots of foreign groceries it can get expensive.

the apt in Shenzhen is not that costely as mentioned by Jonesy,but he's right, it depends on the size and location, could be a range of 2000 rmb to 8000rmb. I am renting a studio in Futian, with furniture and basic facility, cost me 25oo per month,excluding utility. I am not happy with the price so will be looking for a new one and share with others. anyone interested please text me on 13691783362.
