anyone who is "Shanghai fluent" is welcome

hcp

Just arrived in Shanghai a few weeks ago after a few years in NYC.
I neither speak chinese nor am I patient enough probably.
I need help!

Whoever has some knowledge, some time and an ability to share is welcome.

Looking forward to your feedback.

PS Incidentally, I love fine arts, fine food & wine, fashion when it's sophisticated & refined, travels, wild nature, as well as debating on ideas/concepts.

Welcome to Expat-blog, Hcp :)

To learn a new language, you could post an advert under Shanghai classifieds by selecting the Community section and Language exchange sub-section.

there are so many kinds of dialects in China, we Chinese from different regions have to speak mandarin to communicate fluently. You'd better to learn some Chinese mandarin instead of Shanghai dialect.
