Howdy Y'all!

musicianfromLA

Ok, so I don't actually talk like that, but being in Beijing these past few days has had me thinking about Texas lately.

Anyways, I'm working here as a composer and currently slowly setting up the studio here in Haidian District. Records of my adventures are being kept at derekzhao.tumblr.com for the curious. Looking forward to meeting some fellow English speakers! All this Chinese can be overwhelming!

Hey Colin! For the longest time I considered registering a DBA as Dizzy Music Productions. Glad to know there's at least one person on the planet who would get it!

The Ji Ming Yi trip sounds great! My schedule's still in a state of flux right now, but it's something I'd definitely want to do. Will register soon as I know! WIll you be giving a warning if it starts getting close to the max?

what you miss now that you are in China?

musicianfromLA

Hey John,

Well, there's the obvious stuff, like English, clean air (relatively speaking), and friends. I think I miss the most not looking like an idiot when I'm trying to talk to people, hahaha.

Do they speak English in LA?  :)

I thought you were going to talk about beaches, surfing and girls in bikinis.

I miss for some reason Corn Nuts and good Mexican and Cuban food!
