Back to China

Sherwin111

I have been married to a Chinese for 11 years and normally stay in China for about 8 months. I wanted to go back to China on November 20, but it turned out that when I signed the covid test, the time between testing and flying had been reduced from 72 to 48 hours, I didn't know that at the time. Two days before the trip I got the result, I was negative. I submitted this to the Chinese embassy via the email address indicated on their website. The next day I still had no message back. I asked for information everywhere and it turned out that this email address no longer existed. So I was able to submit all the documents just in time via a different, a new way. an hour later I received a message that I had been rejected because I had exceeded the time between testing and flying, so at that moment it turned out that the time between tests was 48 hours. I could only change my ticket for an identical flight and that was no longer there, so ticket gone. Before I started booking, I also heard that all visa for foreigners had been revoked, while since January this year I had a new visa for 3 years. At the embassy in The Hague I recently received a new visa, which is valid for 3 months with a stay of 30 days. I can have the "old" visa reactivated in the city where I live. So I will return to China on December 9 and back to the Netherlands in June. When booking men, where I also had to show a copy of my visa, that I would probably have problems checking in because of the date of return to the Netherlands compared to the thirty day entry visa. I have called all kinds of authorities, including the airline, Schiphol, military police etc. There is no one who can answer me whether I can travel with these 2 visas. There is no point in calling the embassy, there is never an answer and the emails I have sent are not answered. Is there anyone here who can answer this? Thanks in advance.

1/ If you received a Visa in The Hague, it must have been from CVASC (China Visa Application Service Center), as almost all Embassies have outsourced this work nowadays. Your first contact should be with them, not the embassy. Their contact details are clearly available on their website, for that specific office.

2/ It is not clear from your post if you are trying to travel on a Q1 or Q2. (As your married), and I suspect your old visa is in fact a 3 year Residence Permit?  If that is the case, your worry about a return flight out with the new visa time frame is unlikely to be an issue.  However- Tourist visa is probably going to raise eyebrows, as in/out flights are a requirement.

I suggest you try CVASC where you obtained the visa (by email or phone) and as others may post here, clarify your visa types, to see if anyone is having a similar problem.

Thank you for the explanation, in my hometown in China I got an M visa in January for 3 years this year. In September last. I got a Q2 visa in The Hague on the Maanweg, so CVASC. I'm going to try to call the CVASC on Monday.
