Hello all and a very good day.
I'm moving from Joburg to Harare with my girlfriend. She's Zimbabwean and I'm from the UK. I'd greatly appreciate any advice on solid estate agents that have a good reputation. Also anything at all you may think help us transition smoothly would be awesome.
Thank you very kindly in advance and have a wonderful day.
In case you're an agent or in contact with one, I have added a cover letter I've already sent to:

"Hi there, hope you’re well!
My name’s Michael Scott Mckinley. I’m currently working offshore in the UK oil and gas industry, doing 12-hour shifts at sea for 21 days straight, so my time is pretty limited while I’m out here.
I’m looking for a 1 or 2-bedroom fully furnished apartment in Harare, for myself and my girlfriend Tariro Elsie Kurima, who is Zimbabwean. We need something in a really nice area, like Mount Pleasant, Borrowdale, Avondale, Belgravia or Alexandra Park—somewhere safe, secure and modern.
There are a few things that are non-negotiable for us:
Air-conditioning is a must
It needs to be fully furnished
Safe parking and good security are essential
If there’s solar power or a generator and borehole water, that’s a bonus but not a dealbreaker if the place is perfect otherwise
Because of my job, I need to do this mostly over WhatsApp. I’m looking for an agent who can do the legwork for me and send me as many real options as possible, with clear pictures, videos, full details and rental costs upfront.
I want to make sure everything you send me is 100% accurate because I’m going to fly my girlfriend from Johannesburg to Harare just to do the viewing. We’ll only view one property before signing, so I really need to be sure it’s exactly what’s described—no surprises when we turn up please!
I’m happy to jump on a call if needed between 14:00 and 18:00 UK time, but mostly I just need the agent to send me options so I can choose one that fits exactly what we’re after. Once I do, we’ll get things moving straight away.
Looking forward to seeing what you have! Really appreciate your help ðŸ™
Thanks,
Scott"
