I am a Kenyan citizen aged 41 and an Agronomist by profession. I have worked in the Agricultural Sector for more than 18 years (13 years in Horticulture and 6 years in perennial crops sub-sectors). I graduated with a Diploma in Horticulture, Crops and Soils from Egerton University, Njoro, in October, 2006.
I have served in Senior Management positions in reputable flower business organizations both in Kenya, Ethiopia and Zambia. In Kenya, I have worked under different agro-ecological zones of Nakuru, Eldama Ravine, Naivasha, Mt. Kenya Region and in Debre-Zeit, Ethiopia. I have also, at one point in my career, worked with small scale vegetable producers, soliciting market for their produce from big out-grower companies as well as assisting them with agronomic advice.
In Zambia I have worked as a Farmer Manager and an Agronomist in a Sugarcane plantation in Luapula Province, Republic of Zambia, where I headed a 800 Ha of crop grown under overhead irrigation using center pivots.
Currently, I operate as a Consultant Agronomist, handling crop production and irrigation systems.
