Appointments for the british embassy

Bill Shepherd

Good luck trying to find someone at the British embassy who is sober! I see their officers out every single night in Rabat getting absolutely sloshed! They get paralytic and fall over, often vomiting.

Good luck dealing with their hangovers.

@Umarulhasan yeah that seems to be true, inshallah it goes well for you akh! I’ve personally decided to do it via my 2nd citizenship which is Pakistani, I hold a Nadra ID card although I don’t have a Pak passport, the ID sufficient. A few documents required from Pakistan, but no embassy appointment needed just walk in, so none of this appointment hassle lol

Umarulhasan

Well I got a NADRA too. What docs are required from pak?

Yusuf Sheikh

@Umarulhasan I’ll PM you.

Dear Customer

We are writing to inform you that there has recently been a change to the process of getting married in Morocco.

Our records show that you have applied and made an appointment, to obtain a marriage affirmation with either the British Embassy in Rabat or the British Honorary Consulate in Marrakesh.

The Moroccan Courts are now only accepting marriage affirmations from British Nationals who are resident in Morocco. Our records show that you are residing in the United Kingdom (UK). To ensure the Moroccan Courts recognise your documents we advise you to obtain a Certificate of No Impediment from your local council and a certified copy of your passport. This means you no longer need to apply for a marriage affirmation through the Embassy or the Honorary Consulate if you live in the UK and you can obtain the documents you need before you arrive in Morocco.

On account of this change, from 3 December we will be cancelling appointments and refunding payments for all customers who reside in the UK. We appreciate that this may cause some inconvenience, but we believe this change will improve the process for British Nationals living in the UK who wish to marry in Morocco by removing additional administration and the need to wait long periods of time to find available appointments.

To minimise the potential impact this may have on your plans, we advise you to begin the process of obtaining the relevant documents from the UK as soon as possible.

Hi guys, male here, I'm trying to Marry my Moroccon girl. But can't seem to book an appointment at the uk embassy in Rabat. Seems no logic on time of day there released.

If any one has a spare one booked before March and if there transferable. Could I have it please.

Thx in advance
