Hi,

I've been helping to organise a few meetups in the north recently, and we're thinking about having a learn to sail day.聽 I've found a sailing school in Mont Choisy which has nice boats (Lasers, Hobie Cats, etc) and good instructors.

So the question is: Is anybody interested having a go at sailing?聽 (or am I the only one)

I don't have any precise details yet, but here's my vague plan:
When: 21st or 28th June (9am-1pm or midday-4pm)
Where: Mont Choisy beach
What:
- Maybe 2 * 45 minute sailing lessons per person - 1 instructor & 2 students per boat
- When you're not sailing we can get some standup paddle boards, or just hang out on the beach (swimming / snorkelling / frisbee)
Cost: Rs 600 - 800 (for the sailing school, not me)
Max people: 12 - 18 (it depends on how busy the school is)

Hi Dan,

I'm an Irish fossil retired in Mauritius since 2012.聽 If you are having trouble making up the numbers I will try and see if I can get a few more people interested.聽 We live in Mont Choisy but for the rates you are quoting you should have no trouble.聽 Keep us posted.

I know this is an old thread but just wondering if the sailing group went ahead, any feedback and if anyone would be interested in participating in a sailing group in Mont Choisy too?

There wasn't enough interest to organise anything with a group, but I did end up learning to sail anyway.聽 The company is called WildWind and they are based out of Coral Azur Hotel.聽 Enjoy your sailing!
