A question to the Grand Baie crowd ...

bepster

I'm discussing with a friend where Grand Baie is located and we have different views on the district boundaries. This should really be a simple one but apparently it isn't ...

Looking at any map, Grand Baie seem to be divided and the border seem to run right through the town. It seems like the east of Grand Baie would be RdR and the west would be Pamplemousses.

I'm sure this is the most simple question in the world, but googling it seem to return both results, so apparently I'm not the only one that is confused. Any thoughts?

Grand Baie belongs to RdR and Pointe aux Canonniers belongs to Pamplemousses.

Thank you!

Hey, P aux C is in R de R. The dividing line runs from the PAC/mon Choisy roundabout.

PAC belongs to Pamplemousses, according to Wikipedia and the map on the government website:

I think I will have to trust the Government on this one .. Great map by the way. Thanks mauriside!

This is interesting. I bought land in Pt aux Canonniers and the survey and title deeds have us as Riviere du Rempart. But looking at all the maps I can only find PAC as in pamplemousses. The dividing line seems to cut just to the south of PAC. The census areas show Grand Baie West as Pamplemousses and Grand Baie East as RduR, though doesn't geographically define these. I'm sure I saw a map once which showed the dividing line going through the PAC/Mon Choisy roundabout with PAC in RduR though I can't locate this now.
