4 months settling in Liberia

Joseph_in_Monrovia

I’ve been in Liberia for about four months now, and it’s been quite a ride! For the most part, I’ve been busy with work, but I’m slowly getting used to the pace and lifestyle here. The culture is unique, and it’s definitely a learning process every day. From the vibrant markets to the friendly locals, I’m constantly discovering new things that make this place special.

I’m still figuring out the little things – like the best local spots for a good meal or understanding the local customs better – but it’s all part of the adventure.

I’ll definitely share more soon. For now, I’m just focusing on getting to know the culture and enjoying the experience.

Feel free to share any tips for someone who’s still settling in – always open to recommendations!

Hi @Bhavna,

Thank you for the warm welcome.

I’ve started to explore a few local spots around Monrovia. I will begin with the unmissable D'Calabash, which is loved by the locals and I perfectly agree with them! What a restaurant and the vibe! Had the chance to be there Friday night for happy hour and it was great! I also enjoyed the vibe at The Royal Hotel's rooftop restaurant and Anglers Bar & Grill – great food and a relaxed atmosphere. I’m still discovering more places as I go!

Also tried some street food on weekends.

Would you have any recommendations for me?
